Description

Crispy breaded chicken layered with marinara sauce and melted mozzarella inside soft slider buns. These Chicken Parmesan Sliders are a fun, crowd-pleasing twist on the classic Italian favorite.


Ingredients

  • 12 slider buns
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced into slider-sized pieces
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (divided)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil (for cooking)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Season sliced chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Set up breading station: flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs mixed with 1/4 cup Parmesan in a third.
  4. Dredge chicken in flour, dip in egg, then coat thoroughly in breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken until golden brown and cooked through on both sides. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Slice slider buns horizontally and place bottom halves in baking dish.
  7. Layer each bun with crispy chicken, a spoonful of marinara, and shredded mozzarella.
  8. Place top halves on buns. Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle remaining Parmesan.
  9. Bake 10–15 minutes until cheese melts and tops are lightly golden.
  10. Garnish with chopped fresh basil and serve warm.

Notes

  • Bake breaded chicken at 400°F (200°C) for 18–20 minutes for a lighter option.
  • Use thick marinara to prevent soggy buns.
  • Add provolone for extra cheesiness.
