Description

A quick and comforting pasta dish made with bowtie pasta, ground beef, and a creamy Parmesan garlic sauce. This hearty recipe is perfect for busy weeknights and full of savory flavor in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook bowtie pasta until al dente, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté diced onion until softened, about 3–4 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat if needed.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in beef broth and heavy cream. Simmer gently for 3–5 minutes.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper. Let sauce thicken slightly.
  7. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Swap ground beef for Italian sausage for a spicier flavor.
  • Add mushrooms, spinach, or steamed broccoli for extra veggies.
  • Use half-and-half instead of cream for a lighter version.
  • Penne, rotini, or spaghetti can substitute bowtie pasta.
  • Reheat with a splash of milk or broth to revive the creamy texture.
