Description

A bold and creamy Cajun-inspired pasta dish with tender chicken, linguine, garlic butter, and melty mozzarella—comforting, spicy, and full of rich flavor.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook linguine according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and let rest, then slice.
  4. In the same skillet, melt a bit more butter and sauté garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Stir in chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Add mozzarella and stir until melted and creamy. Season with additional Cajun spice or salt if needed.
  7. Add cooked linguine and sliced chicken to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly.
  8. Top with Parmesan, parsley, or red pepper flakes if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Swap chicken with shrimp or sausage for variety.
  • Add mushrooms, spinach, or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
  • Use half-and-half or evaporated milk for a lighter version.
  • Use low-moisture, full-fat mozzarella for smooth melting.
  • Reheat with a splash of milk or broth to refresh sauce.
