Description
Creamy Cajun Chicken Linguine is a bold, comforting pasta dish with tender chicken seasoned in smoky Cajun spices, tossed in a rich, creamy Parmesan sauce and served over al dente linguine.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 oz linguine pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to boil and cook linguine until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.
- Season chicken with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until fully cooked. Set aside and slice.
- In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add Parmesan cheese and simmer another 2–3 minutes until creamy. Adjust seasoning and add red pepper flakes if desired.
- Add cooked linguine and toss to coat. Loosen sauce with pasta water if needed.
- Return sliced chicken to the skillet, toss, and heat through.
- Serve in bowls, garnished with parsley and extra Parmesan.
Notes
- Substitute chicken with shrimp for a seafood twist.
- Increase Cajun seasoning or add hot sauce for more heat.
- Add vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for variety.
- For extra creaminess, stir in cream cheese or reduce broth.
