Description

Cowboy Butter Dipping Sauce is a zesty, garlicky, herb-packed melted butter sauce perfect for dipping steak, seafood, chicken, bread, or veggies. It’s rich, savory, and loaded with bold flavors like lemon, Dijon mustard, and crushed red pepper.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme or rosemary, chopped (optional)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika or regular paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: pinch of cayenne or dash of hot sauce for extra heat

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic and let it sizzle gently for about 30 seconds, without browning.
  3. Remove the pan from heat and whisk in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Stir in chopped parsley and thyme or rosemary if using.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Serve warm as a dip or drizzle over meats or vegetables.
