Description

A rich, buttery cake with a soft, dense crumb and natural sweetness from condensed milk. Simple to make with pantry staples, this cake is perfect with coffee, fruit, or whipped cream.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round or loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, condensed milk, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gradually stir dry ingredients into wet mixture until fully combined and smooth.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 35–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Add lemon or orange zest for a citrus twist.
  • Mix in chocolate chips for a sweeter variation.
  • Top with berries, whipped cream, or caramel sauce for a more decadent dessert.
