Description
Cinnamon Roll Bliss Bars combine the gooey cinnamon-sugar goodness of classic cinnamon rolls with the simplicity of a soft, chewy dessert bar—finished with a luscious cream cheese glaze for the perfect sweet treat.
Ingredients
- For the bars:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup milk
- For the cinnamon swirl:
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- For the glaze:
- 2 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease.
- In a small bowl, mix cinnamon swirl ingredients and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream butter with granulated and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in eggs and vanilla, then stir in milk until smooth.
- Fold dry ingredients into wet until just combined.
- Spread half the batter into the prepared pan. Drizzle half the cinnamon swirl over the top.
- Spread remaining batter, then drizzle remaining swirl and swirl with a knife.
- Bake 25–30 minutes, until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- While cooling, whisk together glaze ingredients until smooth.
- Drizzle glaze over slightly cooled bars. Slice and serve warm or chilled.
Notes
- Add chopped pecans or walnuts to the swirl for crunch.
- Use maple extract in glaze for a fall-inspired twist.
- Mix in white chocolate chips for added sweetness.
- Bars can be frozen—wrap individually and thaw before serving.
- Double the recipe for a 9×13-inch pan and increase bake time by 5–10 minutes.
