Description

Cinnamon Donut Bread Loaf is a tender, buttery quick bread with a cinnamon sugar swirl and a donut-style crust—perfect for breakfast, brunch, or an afternoon treat with coffee.


Ingredients

  • For the batter:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • For the cinnamon swirl:
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • For the topping:
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients, mixing just until incorporated.
  5. Pour half the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle with the cinnamon swirl mixture. Pour the remaining batter over and swirl gently with a knife.
  6. Bake for 45–55 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Brush warm loaf with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar topping.
  8. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
