Description

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for crumb topping)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas, melted butter, and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, alternating with milk, and mix until a soft batter forms.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  7. In a small bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the crumb topping.
  8. Add melted butter and mix until crumbly clusters form.
  9. Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the batter.
  10. Bake for 50–60 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  11. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
