Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 oz bittersweet or semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 9–12 fresh strawberries
- 4 oz additional chocolate (white or dark) for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8″ baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt butter and chocolate in a bowl until smooth. Whisk in sugar, eggs, and vanilla until glossy.
- Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Fold until just combined.
- Spread batter in prepared pan. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until edges are set and center is slightly fudgy. Cool completely in pan.
- Wash and thoroughly dry strawberries.
- Melt additional chocolate for dipping. Dip each strawberry, let excess drip, and place on parchment to set.
- Top cooled brownies with dipped strawberries, pressing gently to adhere. Let set fully before slicing.
