Description

The Chicken Avocado Melt Sandwich is a warm, comforting sandwich made with juicy chicken, creamy avocado, melty cheese, and crispy toasted bread. It’s a satisfying, easy-to-make meal perfect for lunch or dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast (grilled, shredded, or sliced)
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced or mashed
  • 4 slices of sourdough, ciabatta, or preferred bread
  • 2 tsp butter or olive oil (for grilling)
  • 24 slices cheese (mozzarella, provolone, Swiss, or cheddar)
  • 4 tomato slices (optional)
  • 4 red onion slices (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: mayonnaise, mustard, or garlic aioli for spreading

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each bread slice. On the unbuttered side, layer chicken, cheese, avocado, and optional toppings.
  3. Top with another slice of bread, buttered side facing out.
  4. Grill sandwich for 3–4 minutes per side, pressing gently, until golden brown and cheese is melted.
