- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
- 1 packet (about 1 oz) ranch seasoning mix (store‑bought or homemade)
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 1–1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley or chives, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, then place in the dish.
- In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sour cream (or yogurt), and ranch seasoning until smooth.
- Spread the ranch‑cream mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously over the top.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25–30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 10–15 minutes, until chicken is cooked through and cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with chopped parsley or chives before serving.
Notes
- Stir in crumbled cooked bacon before baking for a loaded ranch flavor.
- Mix in chopped spinach or steamed broccoli into the sauce for extra veggies.
- Use pepper jack or Colby Jack cheese for a spicier twist.
- Assemble the dish up to a day ahead and refrigerate until ready to bake.
- Serve with cauliflower rice or steamed greens to keep it low‑carb.
