Ingredients
- 1 loaf baguette or Italian bread, halved lengthwise
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3–4 garlic cloves, minced or pressed
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley or basil, finely chopped (optional)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix softened butter with garlic, herbs (if using), salt, and pepper.
- Spread garlic butter mixture evenly over each bread half.
- Top each half with shredded mozzarella and sprinkle with Parmesan.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until cheese is melted and edges are golden.
- Optional: Broil for 1–2 minutes for extra crispiness, watching closely.
- Let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
