Description

Crisp garlic bread, gooey cheese, and tender shrimp unite for a flavorful, satisfying sandwich.

Ingredients

Garlic Bread

  • 1 loaf French bread, halved lengthwise
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Shrimp

  • 225 grams large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Grilled Cheese Assembly

  • 8 slices of cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Swiss recommended)
  • 100 grams shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Butter for grilling

Instructions

  1. Combine softened butter with minced garlic, dried parsley, dried basil, and salt in a bowl. Mix thoroughly to form a flavored spread.
  2. Preheat the oven to 190°C. Spread the garlic butter evenly over the cut sides of the French bread. Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden and crisp. Remove from the oven.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet. Season shrimp with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Transfer to a plate.
  4. Place one half of the baked garlic bread on a skillet, buttered side down. Cover with cheese slices, sprinkle with shredded mozzarella, and arrange cooked shrimp on top. Close with the other bread half, buttered side up.
  5. Butter the top of the sandwich. Grill for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and cheeses are melted.
  6. Remove from skillet, slice, and serve hot.

Notes

  • For optimal texture, use both sliced and shredded cheese for maximum melt.
  • Ensure shrimp are dried before seasoning for better browning.
