Description
Cheesy Bread is a quick, low-carb, gluten-free snack or side dish made with mozzarella, parmesan, and egg. It’s deliciously savory and can double as a keto-friendly pizza crust.
Ingredients
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- Garlic powder, to taste
- Italian seasoning, to taste
- Nonstick spray (like Pam)
- Parchment paper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix mozzarella, parmesan, and egg until well combined.
- Add garlic powder and Italian seasoning to taste and stir.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spray lightly with nonstick spray.
- Spread the cheese mixture into a thin, even rectangle or circle on the parchment.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until edges begin to brown.
- Switch oven to broil and cook for 1 more minute until top is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then slice and serve.
Notes
- Use at least 50% mozzarella for meltability if substituting cheeses.
- Add crushed red pepper or basil for flavor variations.
- Can be used as a pizza crust — bake, then top and bake again.
- Highly recommend using parchment to prevent sticking.
- Best texture when reheated in oven or toaster.
