Description
This Cajun Honey Butter Salmon features flaky salmon fillets coated in a sticky, savory-sweet glaze with a spicy Cajun kick. It’s quick, indulgent, and bursting with flavor—perfect for when I want a restaurant-style meal at home with minimal effort.
Ingredients
- 2–4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for searing)
- Fresh parsley or chives, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, honey, Cajun seasoning, garlic, and lemon juice to make the glaze.
- Pat salmon fillets dry. Brush glaze generously on the top side of each fillet.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil if using. Place salmon glaze-side down and cook for about 3 minutes until a golden crust forms.
- Carefully flip the salmon, brush the top with more glaze, and cook another 3–4 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Brush once more with the glaze and remove from heat. Let rest for 1 minute.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or chives and serve with a lemon wedge.
Notes
- Finish under the broiler for a glossy, caramelized top.
- Use maple syrup instead of honey for a deeper sweetness.
- Adjust Cajun spice or add crushed red pepper flakes for extra heat.
- Bake at 200 °C (400 °F) for 10–12 minutes if preferred over pan-searing.
- Pair with roasted vegetables, rice, or salad for a complete meal.
