Description
Biscuits and Sausage Gravy Breakfast Pizza is a Southern-inspired comfort dish that transforms classic breakfast flavors into a cheesy, hearty pizza with a buttery biscuit crust, creamy sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, and melted cheddar cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough or homemade equivalent
- 1/2 lb breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 6 eggs
- 1 tbsp butter or oil (for scrambling eggs)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Optional toppings: cooked bacon, diced green onions, bell peppers, hot sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Press biscuit dough into a greased 12-inch pizza pan or baking sheet, covering the bottom and slightly up the sides.
- Bake crust for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden.
- While crust bakes, brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Add flour and cook for 1–2 minutes.
- Gradually stir in milk and cook until thickened into gravy. Season with salt and pepper.
- In another pan, scramble eggs with butter or oil until just set.
- Spread sausage gravy over the par-baked crust. Top with scrambled eggs and shredded cheese.
- Bake pizza for 10–12 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Cool slightly, slice, and add desired toppings before serving.
Notes
- Use crescent roll dough for a lighter, flakier crust alternative.
- Customize with additional meats like bacon or ham.
- Add sautéed vegetables for extra flavor and nutrition.
- Store gravy and eggs separately if prepping ahead to avoid sogginess.
- Perfect for meal prep—slices reheat well in oven or microwave.
