Description

Biscuits and Sausage Gravy Breakfast Pizza is a Southern-inspired comfort dish that transforms classic breakfast flavors into a cheesy, hearty pizza with a buttery biscuit crust, creamy sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, and melted cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough or homemade equivalent
  • 1/2 lb breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tbsp butter or oil (for scrambling eggs)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional toppings: cooked bacon, diced green onions, bell peppers, hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Press biscuit dough into a greased 12-inch pizza pan or baking sheet, covering the bottom and slightly up the sides.
  2. Bake crust for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden.
  3. While crust bakes, brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Add flour and cook for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Gradually stir in milk and cook until thickened into gravy. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. In another pan, scramble eggs with butter or oil until just set.
  6. Spread sausage gravy over the par-baked crust. Top with scrambled eggs and shredded cheese.
  7. Bake pizza for 10–12 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Cool slightly, slice, and add desired toppings before serving.

Notes

  • Use crescent roll dough for a lighter, flakier crust alternative.
  • Customize with additional meats like bacon or ham.
  • Add sautéed vegetables for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • Store gravy and eggs separately if prepping ahead to avoid sogginess.
  • Perfect for meal prep—slices reheat well in oven or microwave.
