Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8-count)
- 1/2 lb breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 tsp black pepper (more to taste)
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Optional: 4 scrambled eggs
- Optional toppings: chopped green onions, crumbled bacon, hot sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking sheet or pizza pan.
- Separate biscuit dough and press into a crust on the pan. Flatten into desired shape and pinch edges.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden. Set aside.
- Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Do not drain unless excessive grease.
- Sprinkle flour over sausage and stir. Cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until thickened (3–5 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.
- Spread gravy over biscuit crust. Top with scrambled eggs if using.
- Sprinkle cheese over the top and bake for 10–12 minutes until melted and bubbly.
