Description

Better Than Anything Bars are a decadent dessert featuring layers of graham cracker crust, caramel, chocolate, and whipped topping. Perfect for parties, these bars are easy to make and irresistibly indulgent.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup caramel sauce or melted caramel candies with a splash of cream
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 1 (8-ounce) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip or homemade stabilized whipped cream)
  • Optional: 1/2 cup toffee bits
  • Optional: 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until the texture resembles wet sand. Press into the prepared pan to form a crust.
  3. Bake the crust for 8–10 minutes, then let it cool. For a no-bake version, use extra butter and chill until firm.
  4. Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the cooled crust and spread evenly.
  5. Drizzle or layer caramel sauce over the condensed milk, then sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  6. Bake again for 10–12 minutes until everything is melted and slightly bubbly, or chill the no-bake version until set.
  7. Let cool completely, then spread whipped topping over the bars.
  8. Sprinkle with toffee bits, chopped nuts, and sea salt if using.
  9. Chill for at least 1 hour before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Chill the bars well before slicing for cleaner cuts.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
  • Freeze with parchment between layers and thaw before serving.
  • Use stabilized whipped cream if making ahead.
  • Customize with different chips, crusts, or toppings.
