Description

This Best Pizza Dip is a warm, cheesy, layered appetizer that brings all the delicious flavors of pizza—without the crust. It’s rich, gooey, and perfect for parties, game nights, or casual gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or mayo
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices (or your favorite pizza toppings)
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped bell peppers
  • Optional: 1/4 cup sliced olives
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped mushrooms
  • Optional: 1/4 cup cooked sausage
  • Optional: Pinch of red pepper flakes
  • Optional: Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream (or mayo), and Italian seasoning until smooth.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly in the bottom of a small baking dish or oven-safe skillet.
  4. Layer the marinara or pizza sauce evenly over the cheese mixture.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated parmesan over the sauce.
  6. Top with pepperoni slices and any optional toppings you like.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden around the edges.
  8. Serve hot with toasted baguette slices, pita chips, or breadsticks for dipping.

Notes

  • Customize with your favorite pizza toppings for different flavors.
  • To make ahead, assemble and refrigerate unbaked. Add 5 extra minutes when baking from cold.
