Ingredients

- 1/4 cup brown sugar

- 1/2 cup water or apple juice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Core the apples, leaving the bottoms intact.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Fill the center of each apple with the sugar mixture and optional raisins or nuts.
- Top each apple with a small piece of butter.
