Description

Apple Ginger Juice is a refreshing, naturally sweet and slightly spicy drink made with fresh apples, ginger, and a splash of lemon juice. It’s energizing, hydrating, and easy to make with either a juicer or blender.

Ingredients

  • 34 fresh apples (Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Granny Smith work well)
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled
  • 12 tsp fresh lemon juice (optional)
  • 1/4 cup water (if using a blender)
  • Ice cubes (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. If using a juicer:
    • Wash, core, and chop the apples.
    • Peel the ginger.
    • Run the apple and ginger pieces through the juicer.
    • Stir in lemon juice if using.
    • Serve chilled or over ice.
  2. If using a blender:
    • Chop the apples and ginger and add to a blender with water.
    • Blend until smooth.
    • Strain through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a pitcher.
    • Stir in lemon juice if desired and serve over ice.

Notes

  • Add cinnamon or turmeric for extra flavor and warmth.
  • Include mint, cucumber, or celery for a more hydrating and cooling juice.
  • Sweeten with a bit of honey or orange juice if desired.
