Description

A hearty, comforting casserole made with tender egg noodles, savory ground meat, creamy sauce, and melted cheese—perfect for Sunday dinner or feeding a crowd.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz wide egg noodles, cooked and drained
  • 1 lb ground beef or ground sausage
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken soup)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef (or sausage) with onion until browned. Add garlic in the last minute of cooking.
  3. Drain excess grease and season with salt and pepper.
  4. In a large bowl, combine cooked noodles, meat mixture, cream soup, and sour cream. Mix until well combined.
  5. Spread mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until hot and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
