Description

Ingredients
- Sliced bread (white, sourdough, whole wheat, etc.)
- Slices of cheese (American, cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
- Butter or mayonnaise (for spreading on the outside of the bread)
Instructions
- Spread butter or mayo on one side of each slice of bread (the outside).
- Assemble the sandwich with cheese between the unbuttered sides.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 2–3 minutes.
- Place the sandwich in the air fryer basket and cook for 4–5 minutes.
- Flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes, until bread is golden and cheese is melted.
- Remove, let cool for 1 minute, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
- Use shredded cheese if preferred — about ½ cup per sandwich.
- Try garlic butter or sprinkle Parmesan on the outside for extra flavor.
- Add tomato slices, caramelized onions, or hot sauce for variation.
- To reheat, use the air fryer again for 2–3 minutes to restore crispiness.
- Gluten-free bread works well if sturdy enough to hold filling.
