Description
Crispy, golden air fryer fries tossed with savory garlic, Parmesan cheese, and fresh herbs. These homemade fries are perfectly tender inside with a crunchy exterior, all without deep frying.
Ingredients
- 3 large russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Wash and cut potatoes into even fry-shaped sticks.
- Soak cut potatoes in cold water for 20–30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat completely dry.
- Toss potatoes with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning until evenly coated.
- Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
- Arrange fries in a single layer in the basket, working in batches if necessary.
- Cook for 15–18 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- While fries cook, sauté minced garlic in a small pan with a light drizzle of olive oil for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
- Transfer hot fries to a large bowl and toss immediately with sautéed garlic and grated Parmesan.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, toss potatoes with 1 teaspoon cornstarch before air frying.
- Leave the skins on for added texture and flavor.
- Reheat in the air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Add red pepper flakes for heat or smoked paprika for a smoky flavor.
- Serve with garlic aioli, ranch, or marinara for dipping.
