Description

A quick and comforting pasta dish made with savory ground beef, tender pasta, and a rich garlic butter sauce, finished with parmesan and fresh herbs.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz pasta (spaghetti, penne, or fettuccine)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
  4. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  5. Season the beef with salt and black pepper.
  6. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  7. Add the butter and beef broth, stirring until the butter melts and forms a light sauce.
  8. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until evenly coated with the garlic butter sauce.
  9. Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese and chopped parsley over the pasta.
  10. Gently mix and serve warm.

Notes

  • Spaghetti, penne, or fettuccine work best for holding the garlic butter sauce.
  • Spinach, mushrooms, or cherry tomatoes can be added for extra flavor.
  • A splash of heavy cream or cream cheese makes the sauce richer.
  • Red pepper flakes add a mild spicy kick.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Add a splash of broth or water when reheating to loosen the sauce.
