Description
A quick and comforting pasta dish made with savory ground beef, tender pasta, and a rich garlic butter sauce, finished with parmesan and fresh herbs.
Ingredients
- 12 oz pasta (spaghetti, penne, or fettuccine)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Season the beef with salt and black pepper.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the butter and beef broth, stirring until the butter melts and forms a light sauce.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until evenly coated with the garlic butter sauce.
- Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese and chopped parsley over the pasta.
- Gently mix and serve warm.
Notes
- Spaghetti, penne, or fettuccine work best for holding the garlic butter sauce.
- Spinach, mushrooms, or cherry tomatoes can be added for extra flavor.
- A splash of heavy cream or cream cheese makes the sauce richer.
- Red pepper flakes add a mild spicy kick.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Add a splash of broth or water when reheating to loosen the sauce.
